Memphis Choppers was established August 1, 2003, by two professional firefighters working with the

City of Memphis Fire Department, in Tennessee. Mike Till, a veteran with 23 years of service with the

Memphis Fire Department, and Rich Hartfield, a veteran with 15 years of service with the Memphis

Fire Department, own and operate Memphis Choppers. Mike and Rich feel very fortunate to have two

professions that they both truly love. Their careers with the Memphis Fire Department allow them to

pursue their passion for building custom choppers. Mike and Rich work on different shifts with the fire

department, so at least one of them can be at the cycle shop each day. Their office manager, Don Stocks,

is a retired Memphis Firefighter, with 33 years of service. Don, incidentally, has a Federal Firearms

License (FFL), and they informally refer to the shop as 'Guns & Choppers' when the subject turns to

firearms. Owner Mike Till's 19 year old son, Chad Till, also works at Memphis Choppers. Chad holds a

certified welding certificate, and at his young age has shown a remarkable adeptness in fabrication and

welding. Chad also plans to attend the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Orlando, Florida during the

summer of 2006, in order to further his knowledge of the industry. Chad is currently enrolled at

Southwest Tennessee Community College, where he is studying to obtain an Emergency Medical

      Technician (EMT) Certification.

Along with building custom bikes, Memphis Choppers also performs service and maintenance on all

American V-Twin engines, specializing on Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Memphis Choppers perform

many services, which includes repairing damaged and wrecked bikes, custom fabrication, and motorcycle

detailing. Memphis Choppers also carries a full line of parts and accessories. Memphis Choppers has

an exhaustive list of distributors, and can usually beat any competitor's prices on parts and service.

They can even provide parts for Sport Bikes at a substantial savings. In less than three years,

Memphis Choppers has outgrown their present location and in the Spring of 2006, expect to relocate into

a larger facility to accommodate their dynamic growth. Their new location at 5331 Pleasant View Road,

is conveniently located across the street from their present site.
